Description:

Operations Reporting Analyst required for maternity cover in a major insurance underwriting business. Formed around 10 years ago they specialise in ‘mid-market’ businesses and have grown rapidly, signing partnerships with 2 very large backers who enjoy ‘A’ credit ratings. They have opened offices across Australia, Asia and Europe and have further growth planned.

This role will support their FD and is for an initial period of 9 months; candidates are expected to offer full commitment for this period. Duties will include:

·         Manage local office reporting requirements ensuring accurate submissions and development of further detailed reporting templates.

·         Production of the monthly reports to include Monthly Business Report, Premium Income and Claims Report

·         Financial Reporting and regular monthly reporting

·         Management of Claims Funds (including premium collection & payment)

·         A range of ad hoc projects

The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant who can demonstrate sound knowledge of financial reporting within a large, multinational business. Insurance / underwriting experience would be an advantage but isn’t essential but a ‘just do it’, hands-on attitude is essential as is a desire to improve processes. Future roles could exist within the company as it expands.
